Product Description: The number of prescriptions for antidepressant drugs has nearly tripled in the past decade. Now, over 10 million American adults and 1 million children have taken them. But these drugs, although often useful, don't correct the causes of depression and anxiety. What's worse, they can stop working, cause dependency, or bring on dangerous - even debilitating or fatal - side effects.
Those looking for a safer, often more effective way to beat their mood disorders have begun to discover orthomolecular medicine. Far from a new way to treat patients, it's gaining popularity, as modern medicine has been faced with more and more bewildering illnesses, and prescription drug usage has reached absurd levels.
Orthomolecular physicians use wisely the prescription advances we've made, but they recognize that mood disorders can only be corrected by normalizing the balance of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and similar substances that actually make the neurotransmitters - including serotonin - that antidepressant drugs attempt to augment. Using the latest clinical studies and his 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Murphree has helped thousands of patients feel good again. By following the recommendations in this book, you too can beat anxiety and depression once and for all.
